Clifflift - Lynton to Lynmouth
Lynton - perched proudly on the edge of Exmoor, high above sea level, Lynton is a superb place to park the car and take the water-powered Cliff Lift down to Lynmouth.

On the other hand, there is a marvellous zig-zag path, with its exhilarating views, to take you the 500 feet down to sea level.

Surrounded by rolling moorland Lynton exposes you to dramatic and rugged wooded valley gorges and lovely walks by the waterfalls.

To the east is Foreland Point and Watersmeet Valley with the most spectacular coastal, moorland and woodland walking possibilities.

If you visit from Lynmouth and wander round the little shops and cafes, don't forget that Lynton is home to the Lyn and Exmoor Museum too. You may enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride to the Valley of Rocks.
